What makes your crew "professionals"?
Our team follows the exact safety and operational guidelines and standards of the industry. Best Local Window Cleaning is a member of the International Window Cleaners Association (IWCA) and adheres strictly to their policies and practices for professionalism, safety and training. Our company receives daily updates from fellow IWCA members, glass manufacturers, and cleaning associations.
What makes my windows dirty?
Airborne particles from heating & cooling systems, fingerprints, pet smudges, tobacco smoke and cooking residue collect on window surfaces to form a hazy layer on the inside glass over time. Environmental contaminants like dust, bird droppings, acid rainfall and plant pollen obscure build up on the outside glass the same way that indoor contaminants do.
Which tools will you use to clean my windows?
We use a soft strip washer for scrubbing and wetting windows, a concentrated cleaning solution, a variety of squeegees, and use lint-free towels to wipe the tools between strokes and to dry excess water around panes.
Are your cleaning materials harmful or toxic?
All of the products we use in our window cleaning services are home-safe and biodegradable. We do not use any ammonia or alcohol-based solutions that could affect flooring or home fabrics or aggravate respiratory conditions due to fumes.
Will I have to move my furniture around to have my windows cleaned?
To safeguard against water damage and possible splashes or accidents, we do ask that you move any furniture away from window sills and ledges prior to performing our service. Of course, it's easier to clean windows that do not have draperies on them, but our team can work around them, if need be.
Will my scheduled cleaning be canceled in the event of rain?
We closely monitor the current weather conditions so that we can be prepared in the event of an adverse weather situation. If the weather reports call for light precipitation, we can proceed with the cleaning because light rain has no effect on the process. However, in the event of heavy rain or showers, our team will return within a couple of days to finish the service for you.
Is your window cleaning service messy?
No! In fact, we use very little water and make every effort to avoid any spills. Our window cleaning teams will gladly wear shoe covers to protect your flooring while working in your home, at your discretion.
How often do my windows need to be cleaned?
We advise our clients to have their windows cleaned every 3 months or with the change of a season. Adhering to this schedule, your windows should remain clean between scheduled cleanings.
Can rain make my windows dirty?
No, not by itself. However, rain can carry dust, pollen, exhaust and other contaminants onto your windows. Rain drops move the dirt around your windows and after the rain dries, the dirt and debris is left behind.
Can windows be cleaned in the winter?
Yes! Window cleaning is actually more important during the winter than any other season. Road salt used to de-ice highways and streets turns into an air-borne powder when cars drive over it. This dust settles on your windows just as any other type of dust does.
Are your employees trustworthy?
Our company and employees are fully insured and bonded. We only employ competent, responsible individuals. We pride ourselves in our staff and their experience.
Is your entire staff insured?
Our company and staff members are licensed and carry $6 million liability policy, state fund worker's compensation and disability insurance. Certificate of insurance and other documented proof is available upon request.
Do I have to be at home when you come to clean my windows?
If it's our first time working for you, we do ask that you be present during the window cleaning service. For subsequent cleanings, other arrangements can be made.
What are your billing and payment terms?
Once we have completed our services and you are pleased with them, you will receive an invoice. We accept payment via cash, check or credit card and payment is due upon completion of work unless a previous agreement has been made.
